The pool owner may be held responsible for injury or death attributable to:
- poor or nonexistent safety equipment
- inadequate warnings of risk
- absent or not readable depth markings
- improperly placed or installed equipment
- accessibility to children
- lack of alarm system
- lapse of supervision
