“Safety Turtle saved Misty, not once, but twice.”

I had just bought two 6 month old Shih Tzu puppies in December of 2000. Within a month or so, Misty fell into the pool but I didn't see her do it; Anne, my mother's caregiver did, and she ran out the door to pull Misty from a watery grave.

The young man who services our pool told me about the Safety Turtle when I told him what had happened. I bought two of them and put them on the dogs' collars. Several months later, while I was away from home overnight, Anne stayed with my mom. One night, around midnight, Misty went out the doggie door in the master bedroom. Anne heard her, but didn't think anything about it because the dogs often went out at night. She went back to sleep but awakened a few minutes later when the Safety Turtle alarm went off.

Anne knew immediately what had happened, ran out to the pool, and fished Misty out of the water. Had it not been for the Safety Turtle and its alarm, Misty would no doubt have drowned. She had fallen into the deep end of the pool where there were no stairs, and because it was dark, she had no way of knowing how to swim to the other end of the pool. She has a double coat of fur which weighed her down so she floundered in the water. Her struggling would have been in vain if Anne had not been awakened by the Safety Turtle alarm.

I am so glad I learned about a simple safety device which more than paid for itself when it saved Misty, not once, but twice.
