Using Child Immersion Alarm with Pools And Spas

When using with a pool or hot tub, a child is best protected with the Turtle locked on the wrist, not attached to another part of his/her anatomy or clothing:

  • child cannot remove the Turtle sensor
  • alarm can occur when child reaches into pool, before falling in
  • hand tends to remain near surface after child falls in, providing stronger signal to Base Station

Using Immersion Alarm for your Neighbor's Pool or Spa

Unlike other pool alarms, Safety Turtle can alert if your child falls in an immediate neighbor's pool, spa or pond.

  • Base Station should be within within 150 ft. (45 m.) of the farthest point of your neighbor's pool*
  • or within 50 ft. (15 m.) if it is salt chlorinated*
  • If Base Station is in a ground or second floor window, it cannot cover both your and your neighbor's pool - situate it near the lot line above any fence material*
  • Base Station must be in Travel Bag for permanent outside installation
  • For alarming both poolside and in the residence, you require Commercial/Extended Range System

* Turtle must be immersed in the neighbor's pool to confirm coverage from your property
